Norbert Kaula Joins Cirtec as Chief Technology Officer

Minneapolis, MN – August 27, 2019 –  Cirtec is pleased to announce that Norbert Kaula has joined the company as Chief Technology Officer (CTO).  In this new role, Norbert will be responsible for the company’s neuromodulation technology strategy and supporting the growth of the Solace platform. Norbert will work closely with customers and the business development team to develop and market neurostimulation devices designed to significantly improve the lives of people with chronic nervous conditions and disorders.

Norbert is a recognized and respected executive leader with 30+ years of experience in neuromodulation, neuroscience, and medical devices. He has a multi-disciplinary background in electrical, mechanical, and biomedical engineering. He most recently comes to us from Nuvectra Corporation where he spent the past nine (9) years in various leadership roles from a Greatbatch incubator to an IPO company. Most recently he served as Chief Technical Officer at their facility located in Denver, CO.

Norbert has nearly 100 patents registered by the US Patent and Trademark Office that have been either granted or pending. He is a graduate of the College of Ulm, Germany where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechatronic and his Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering with certifications in x-rays and isotopes. He went on to receive his PhD in Computer Science at the University of Denver in Colorado.
